So, I was at Walmart and they had some DVDs in the LDS Book section with classics. I got the one with Cipher in the Snow, The Gift, The Phone Call, The Emmett Smith Story, and John Baker's Last Race on it. I've only seen Cipher in the Snow and The Phone Call, but I love them both & can't wait to watch them!

I doubt that anyone who isn't LDS has seen these movies, but I love them. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you want them, check your local Walmart. :)

Are they LDS themed movies?

They are movies made by BYU, but I wouldn't say they have LDS themes. Since BYU made them, they were in most ward libraries so church members would have seen them a lot growing up.

I've heard that The Phone Call was the inspiration for Neapolitan Dynamite (also made by a BYU student). It's about a dorky kid who is trying to ask a girl out over the phone. He keeps calling her and hanging up because he's afraid. I think it's supposed to be a movie about self esteem or something. It's pretty funny.

The other one - Cipher in the Snow (http://www.ldsvideo.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=86) - was made to be shown in schools. It is about a kid who dies and his teacher is asked to write an obituary for him. The teacher starts to learn about the student, who was abused by a step father, and learns how a person with a lot of potential became a low achiever and social outcast. I found this story online: Cipher in the Snow (http://www.teenlit.com/teachers/cipherin.htm)

I got the video at Walmart for $10. There's a lot of Mormons in Arizona. Do they have a Mormon book section in the Walmarts there?
