Anyone else out there keep fish as pets?

I don't now, as we've winnowed down the menagerie considerably over the years, but we used to have quite a few. A 35-gal tank, two 10-gals and my betta I kept in an antique mason jar on the kitchen counter.

I've had fish my entire life. :) Right now I have four bettas, three in a five gal tank (with dividers, of course!) and one by himself in a 1/2. The one by himself is about 5 years old, he's really old for a betta. That's why I have him in a smaller tank by himself. He used to live in my community tank that's like a 20 gal with neon tetras, corydoras, and a pleco. Betta usually do well in community tanks, but he was getting too old and slow to live in there.

I only have pics of one of my bettas, Suhayb. This is back when I had him in a small quarantine tank. He's a crowntail betta.

He loves this little bridge...

I tried to get some "action shots" of him flaring but it's hard to take pics of fish...

Here's my newest betta, Ugly Betta. I'll give choodles to whoever can tell me what his name is a play on. (Hint: it's a TV show)

He's a "pineapple" colouration and a mix between a veil and crown tail type. He's basically a hideous curly swimming pineapple and I love him.

His dorsal and anal fins are actually curved- you can really tell with his dorsal fin. It's flopped over like a captive orca's dorsal fin. I haven't the slightest why. He has little spikes on his dorsal and anal fin, too, because he's part crown. Perhaps that's why his fin is curled, too?

He's in a 1.5 gallon tank with a 7.5 watt heater and a filter. There's a piece of driftwood and the plants are anacharis, which is my favourite plant for aquariums because it keeps the water clean. The water is brown, yes, but that's not because it's filthy, it's the tannins from Indian Almond Leaf. It looks a lot darker in pictures than it really is. He got a tank cleaning today anyway. :)

Unfortunately, he's a fin nipper. :(

He did the damage on his caudal fin to himself today, again. He was almost all healed up, too. :( It's really disappointing because when I first got him he had fin rot pretty bad and as soon as I got him healed up from that he started nomming off his tail. I've tried so many things to get him to stop, but it's just not working. :(

This is what he looked like when I first got him. Aside from his caudal fin, he looks so much better and brighter now. :)

Aside from being a bit weird, he's pretty happy. He's extremely nonaggressive so I'm hoping to put some ghost shrimp in with him if I can find any around here.
