Can anyone suggest a good, free calendar program?

Well, I use Google calendar, this way I can get my stuff from my desktop, laptop and cell phone without having to sync. I haven't used any program other than the default windows/mac one.

I have to say, I really like google calendar. Despite the fact that I'm skeeved out about putting all my personal information in their hands. The interface works well - you can create different calendars for work, church, and home and view them on the same page or separately, which comes in quite handy for me. And I especially like their Chinese holidays calendar because, honestly, it's hard to keep track of all that lunar/solar interfacy stuff.

I would recommend Sunbird.
Sunbird can be integrated with Thunderbird.

Nice!

I was looking for something to go with Thunderbird but wasn't sure what to use.

Though the Google Calendars are very nice too!

I think it's Mozilla's e-mail program.

Microsoft Outlook also has a Calendar function but I don't know how good it is because I never really used it.

I like it a lot, but free isn't usually all that synonymous with the Office Suite - that said, a lot of people have it but aren't aware of some of its other functions. I don't normally use the e-mail side of Outlook at all - just the calendar and contacts.
